Backstory: Anthony was abandoned by his parents as a small child and grew up mostly in group homes. Anthony showed an interest in botany and was taken on as an apprentice when he was 17 by an eccentric professor, Isla, who travelled doing research on very controversial botanical magic. Botanical magic is the study of plants and the creation and mastery of spell work recipes utilizing plantlife. Unfortunately, Anthony’s studies were not completed before Professor Isla went mad. Isla was a detailed note taker and Anthony carried on learning to master all of Isla’s recipes from her grimoire. He completed the task only months ago and started calling himself Professor. He then took up his duty to add to Isla’s legacy. He’s travelled to learn the secrets of the collection of corpse flowers so he can contribute to the legacy of his mentor and expand the grimoire.

Introduction Quest: “What the Fuck Is That Smell?” The party investigates an overwhelming corpse smell that’s smothering the area. They find a field of corpse flowers that have all simultaneously bloomed on the last full moon and have remained blooming consistently since. They meet up with Anthony, who is also investigating the strange phenomena and they join forces. After completing this quest, Anthony will join your party permanently.

Companion Quest: Anthony is set on investigating a number of strange plant life phenomena and adding to his mentor’s grimoire of botanical potion recipes. Throughout these investigations Anthony comes to learn the truth about the disappearance of his parents. Professor Isla had captured them and conducted experiments on them thinking that her botanical magic could cure prevent and cure the ghoul madness, but she’d really only encouraged its manifestation in his parents. Isla didn’t know they had children until she heard about a peculiar boy named Anthony searching for a botanist mentor.
