Backstory: Sophie enjoyed her life in blood paradise. Like other demons, she has no real memory of her past life. She had witnessed a demon consuming a soul while she waited for her fate to reveal itself and became fascinated, immediately deciding to stay and have that experience herself. Demons experience a lengthy high when they consume a soul, and they exist specifically for the purpose of eating particular souls that come through the blood paradise. Life in blood paradise was leisurely and euphoric. But it changed when Ida disappeared. At first the sudden change was exciting. After several hundred years the demons began to form clans and war with each other. Sophie became part of a group dedicated to getting Ida back and vowed, along with the rest of them, that the next of them to be called to possession would find Ida and attempt to guide her back home. It’s become very rare for mortals to perform the possession rituals at all, much less correctly, but after years Sophie was called to possess a doll. After getting away from the man who called on her, she found Ida and became her companion. Unfortunately, any efforts she’s made to guide Sophie back to the blood paradise have been unsuccessful and outright telling her who she is result in the sudden onslaught of madness and the erasure of her memory. So far, it’s been impossible. Sophie maintains the lie that she was a demon called by a relative of Ida and she’s bound to protect her family lineage.

Introduction Quest: You meet during the tutorial.

Companion Quest: When Ida starts having visions, Sophie obviously knows what they’re from. Since she also has no memory of her previous life, she becomes a little envious. She starts to feel curious about who she once was and sets out to try to find as much information as she can. These quests culminate in Sophie once again coming face to face with the man who created the doll she possesses. Orton is now a ghoul.
